中国样式 | Chinese “Style”

“样式” 在中国古代代表着一种标准法度和样板，在该系列的画作中，艺术家模拟中国古代匠人打格子放样的实现方式，以风水地图的样式，嵌入假山和湖石，暗喻中国文化的亘古不变的特征。

In ancient China, “Yangshi (Style)” referred to standardized rules and canonical models. In this series, the artist simulates traditional Chinese craftsmen’s methods of gridding and layout, embedding artificial rocks and scholar stones into compositions resembling geomantic maps, metaphorically alluding to the timeless and enduring features and doctrinal foundations of Chinese culture.
