Invisible Cities

The marvelous dialogues between Kublai Khan and Marco Polo depicted by Calvino became the point of departure for the artist’s creation, forming a subtle connection with the traditional cultural landscapes buried in memory. Everything that exists now or once existed may be nothing but an illusion.

Drawing with the expressive lines of Caoshu (Chinese cursive script), the artist guides the viewer’s gaze across the composition, seeking to strengthen the continuity of pictorial narration. In doing so, the artist attempts to construct a virtual space that embodies both the stillness of suspended time and the ceaseless vitality of life in motion.
